The Plaza, an open space for networking and showcasing

The Plaza will be an important part of the inaugural meeting of the IGF, with its architecture designed to facilitate networking opportunities between organisations and companies in the field of Internet Governance. The Plaza also offers the opportunity for stakeholders to attract attention from top decision makers, by showcasing projects in the field of Internet Governance. Exchange knowledge and best practises, build partnerships and learn about the latest innovations in the field of Internet Governance! All exhibits must relate to the priority themes of the IGF:

  • Openness - Freedom of expression, free flow of information, ideas and knowledge
  • Security - Creating trust and confidence through collaboration
  • Diversity - Promoting multilingualism and local content
  • Access - Internet Connectivity: Policy and Cost

Architecture of The Plaza

The open architecture of the Plaza is designed to facilitate the building of partnerships, with 400 m2 transformed into a small market place to enable participants to exchange contacts, ideas, dialogue and experiences. Open stands offer the opportunity for exhibitors to showcase their latest projects and seating reminiscent of the WSIS entices stakeholders to catch up on progress made since Tunis 2005.

Exhibitor's Manual

Each participant will receive the Exhibitor's Manual at a later stage, once the project has been accepted. This is an essential handbook with all the necessary technical instructions, contacts and other useful information!

Rental conditions

We have created a set of Turnkey Solutions, to help simplify the process of exhibiting and ensure that companies and organisations can get the maximum benefit from their participation at The Plaza. Turnkey solutions enable participants to rent a fully equipped, customized exhibition space.

We offer 4 different stand types (pictures are indicative only). Stands can be rented through the online registration system. Please indicate the square meters following your desired option.
