In November 2005, Tunisia will host the second phase of the World Summit on the Information Society, a process first launched in Geneva in December 2003.
This is an event of major significance for all countries that are confronting the challenges of the digital revolution. Tunisia will endeavour to ensure the success of this huge gathering which, in cooperation with the United Nations and under the aegis of the International Telecommunications Union, is designed to bring together Heads of State and official delegations of over 180 countries, key stakeholders from the private sector and civil society, and over 17 000 participants.
